Q:My personal take on Donna's relationship with her first fiance wasn't that it was romanticizing stalking (though I can see how you would get that from elements of it), but more that it was playing the whole story for laughs - which would be either minimalizing stalking as humorous or making the idea of an older woman who actively pursues a relationship into a joke, neither of which is good.

I used romanticising in way that it makes it less serious than it actually is. In Blink, the stalking of Sally’s friend could have also been seen as slightly humourous from the way it was portrayed. However, yeah, perhaps I could’ve chosen another word, but the point still stands that the entirety of that relationship and scene was definitely not good at all.

We don't hate DW or Sherlock, in fact we really really like those shows. That is why we're being critical. If we didn't like them, we wouldn't be nearly as annoyed, we'd simply change channels.
