Does Moffat have a boss? If so, perhaps we could send an eloquent petition to zir and ask zir to… well, give Moffat a firm talking-to, at least.

This is extremely complicated and shows just how ‘in’ you have to be to get into showbiz when you’re in a position like Moffat’s. A lot of his shows are run and broadcasted by BBC, so his shows need to get approved by the bigwigs there. Of course, because of his popularity and how relatively famous he is at the moment, there’s pretty much no way his shows would get denied or criticised enough to get someone to talk to him about his issues - especially when a lot of his bullshit is behind the scenes or so subtle in his writing that fans won’t see it most of the time.

There’s also the case of producers who fund and overlook the projects. For Sherlock, Moffat’s wife and mother-in-law (Sue and Beryl Vertue respectively) are some of the producers, as are Gatiss and Moffat. Then for Doctor Who, Moffat himself is one of the current producers. It’s pretty close-knit and no one is going to bring up any issues if Moffat doesn’t see any. :/

About

Because some people shouldn't be allowed to have their shit left unquestioned.

Before we get any questions like "If you hate Doctor Who so much you can just stop watching!":

We don't hate DW or Sherlock, in fact we really really like those shows. That is why we're being critical. If we didn't like them, we wouldn't be nearly as annoyed, we'd simply change channels.
